Empowering Participants When They Needed Support Navigating the Digital World

With support from the Erie Community Foundation and in partnership with Tech2Elevate, KINBER offered a series of programs to help participants navigate the online world.

Participants learned how to safely manage their health and finances online, explore new learning and employment opportunities, and stay in touch with loved ones.

They received training to confidently use technology in their daily lives, and those who completed the class were given a laptop, all at no cost

Digital Devices for Everyday Use

This program offered a simple way for participants to stay connected and manage online tasks. Through free laptops and training, they learned to make video calls, pay bills, access benefits online, and browse the internet safely.

The workshop was delivered over three two-hour sessions, and participants received a free Chromebook upon completing the course.

Unlocking the Power of the Digital World

This course helped participants improve their computer skills and navigate the internet with confidence. They learned the basics of Windows 11, how to connect online, and how to browse safely while staying connected.

This workshop consisted of six one-hour sessions, covering:

  • Unlock the Power of Internet Connectivity

  • Discover Free Digital Tools

Participants gained hands-on experience and practical skills to confidently use their devices and navigate the digital world. With free training and a device provided upon completion, they left equipped with the tools and confidence to succeed in today’s digital world.

Aging with Technology

Designed with seniors in mind and using AARP resources, this course provided a gentle, step-by-step way for participants to build confidence with technology. They learned to manage their healthcare online, access social services, and handle finances securely. No prior experience was needed—just a willingness to learn.

The workshop was delivered over thirteen sessions, each lasting one hour and forty-five minutes. Participants received a free Chromebook upon completing the course.
