36.6% of Pennsylvanians do not use a computer or laptop at home.

Owning a laptop makes it easier for community members to pursue education and employment opportunities, access social services and healthcare, and more.

NextUse Tech™ helps ensure that more individuals have the technology needed to thrive in the digital world!

How does NextUse Tech™ work?

  1. KINBER collects functioning, unused laptops from companies, organizations and individuals.

  2. We then partner with local organizations and technicians to refurbish the computers. They get cleaned, wiped, and given a new operating system to ensure they are safe and secure.

  3. KINBER partners with community based organizations who are already doing great work to make sure these computers will provide digital opportunities to those most in need!

NextUse Tech: Numbers of Change

KINBER’s NextUse Tech™ program improves digital access across Pennsylvania by collecting unused laptops from companies, organizations, and individuals. Partnering with volunteers, schools, and technicians, these devices are refurbished and redistributed to those in need.

In November 2024, its first Digital Device Drive provided devices to Computers for Refugees in Lancaster, PA, which distributed them to refugees, non-native English speakers, and job seekers. KINBER continues to connect the members of the community through a network of community partnerships.
