KINBER Launches Digital Access and Support Hubs Initiative

KINBER is pleased to announce the launch of its Digital Access and Support Hubs initiative, which will empower community partners with tools and support to expand internet access and digital skills training. Redbank Valley Public Library (Clarion County) and Factory Ministries (Lancaster County) will be the first two partners to implement the new initiative, beginning in December 2025, with Tionesta Public Library (Forest County), Huntingdon County Library (Huntingdon County), and The Green Free Library (Tioga County) opening in early 2026.

KINBER will supply these local partners with laptops, accessories, and digital skills training materials, along with support to establish digital learning labs and laptop loan programs at local partner sites. These digital learning labs will bring innovative technology and digital resources directly to communities in need. The digital learning labs and laptop loan programs will support workforce development opportunities, remote health monitoring, and improve access to education and employment resources.

“KINBER’s Digital Access and Support Hubs Initiative will play a key role in supporting the strengthening of local communities, economies and support systems,” said Nathan Flood, President and CEO of KINBER. “We’re not just providing our partners with laptop and internet access but with best practice digital skills training to provide them and the residents they serve with a complete approach to digital opportunity.”

KINBER will be identifying additional local partners for future distributions. KINBER was awarded the laptops through a COVID-19 ARPA Digital Connectivity Technology Program grant. The grant was financed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Broadband Development Authority (PBDA).
