March Newsletter

As we welcome March and the promise of spring, we are reminded that growth and opportunity go hand in hand. At KINBER, every day is a chance to open doors and create access to the digital tools and skills that empower communities to thrive. This season, we celebrate the progress we’ve made and the people whose curiosity and determination inspire change. Together, we are helping more individuals connect, learn, and reach their full potential in a digital world. Let’s spring forward together, building a future where opportunity is within everyone’s reach.

Warm regards,

Springing Into Opportunity: KINBER Launches Fourth Digital Access & Support Hub

We are thrilled to introduce a dedicated space in Forest County where digital access meets opportunity. This Digital Access & Support Hub is located at Tionesta Public Library, creating a welcoming hub for learning, innovation, and connection. This digital learning lab provides community members of all ages with access to technology, digital skills training, and resources that empower them to explore, create, and thrive in today’s digital world. By bringing this space to Forest County, we are expanding our mission to ensure that everyone has the tools and support they need to succeed. We can’t wait to see the ideas, discoveries, and opportunities that will bloom in this new space!

Additional partners will be announced as the program expands. The initiative is supported through a COVID-19 ARPA Digital Connectivity Technology Program grant administered by the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority. For partnership inquiries, please contact Will Perez, Associate Director of Programs, at wperez@KINBER.org

Cultivating Futures, One Laptop at a Time

This season of growth, we’re excited to support Tenfold with a donation of laptops, tools that open doors to the future! With access to a laptop, individuals can work toward their GED, build digital skills, apply for jobs, connect with new opportunities, and even begin creating their own paths forward. What starts as a single device becomes so much more - a gateway to learning, earning, and growing. Just like spring blooms, each laptop helps new possibilities flourish, and bright paths take root.

Building on the success of previous groups, this cohort will gain the skills, mentorship, and experiences they need to lead with confidence, creativity, and impact. Just like the season, this is a time for new ideas to take root and for leaders to bloom in their communities and beyond. We can’t wait to see the initiatives, collaboration, and inspiration that will flourish this spring. Together, we continue cultivating a future where leadership is accessible, inclusive, and transformative.

It has been a season of momentum for the KeystoneREN team. They have been hard at work across the network and beyond, from turning up new 100G peering at Philly IX to presenting at the Quantum Networks Town Hall at the SUNY Global Center in NYC to hosting the KR RCCoP and KR TAG meetings.

Next up, the team joins the broader REN community at the 2026 Internet2 Community Exchange and Globus World 2026, both of which take place in Chicago.
