One theme that has come up again and again in recent conversations is this: we can’t do this work alone. KINBER believes that partnership is at the heart of meaningful change. When we listen, collaborate, and leverage each other’s strengths, we create solutions that are stronger and more sustainable. We’re energized by the relationships we’re building and look forward to the future endeavors and shared impact ahead.

Warm regards,

Another Step Forward: KINBER Launches Third Digital Access & Support Hub

We’re excited to share that 32 devices have been successfully deployed to our newest Digital Access & Support Hub location at Huntingdon County Library.

These devices will power the Digital Learning Lab, support the Device Loan Program, and expand access through Huntingdon County Library's bookmobile, bringing technology directly to senior centers across Huntingdon County

Through the Digital Access & Support Hub initiative, KINBER provides partners with laptops, accessories, and digital skills training resources to help establish sustainable digital learning labs and community-based loan programs. Together, these efforts strengthen workforce development, expand access to education and employment, and create greater opportunity for remote healthcare services.

We’re proud to partner with Huntingdon County Library and look forward to the meaningful impact this collaboration will bring to residents throughout the county.

Additional partners will be announced as the program expands. The initiative is supported through a COVID-19 ARPA Digital Connectivity Technology Program grant administered by the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority. For partnership inquiries, please contact Will Perez, Associate Director of Programs, at wperez@KINBER.org

Empowering the NextGen

Our NextGen Navigators™ program is designed to equip high school students with the skills and confidence to support their community in an increasingly connected world. Hearing directly from participants reminds us why this work matters. Their reflections highlight not only the technical knowledge they’ve gained, but the leadership, confidence, and sense of purpose that come with it.

"In my eyes, NextGen Navigators is a unique and amazing investment in Lancaster County. Before my meeting, I honestly was very unsure how I could serve the community as a Computer Science Honors Society (CSHS) member. Now, I feel motivated and informed on how to serve and help community members in all sorts of tasks and information sessions. I am now intrigued in helping members in places like the library, community centers, retirement homes, or even just around Ephrata to help residents who need assistance. I am excited to hold these meetings and sessions and help to inform others on how to stay safe, protected, and be aware of what is online."
- Ayden, Ephrata High School

"The NextGen Navigators would be very important to Lancaster County, because there are many people without internet access who wouldn’t even know where to begin with even accessing it. It would help the people of Lancaster County to have people who would be willing to help them access the internet, gain literacy, and be given devices to access the internet. Without people to help they may be disconnected from the digital world with no one to help. These reasons show that The NextGen Navigators are important and necessary for Lancaster County’s digital literacy and access."
-Mark, Ephrata High School
